Hot and Cold Tastes of Food That Starts With L

Categories :

Food that starts with L is definitely hot! This spicy dish will warm your belly up quickly and kick start your metabolism. The fresh spices will also help to burn fat. When I was younger I used to think that it started with a T-bone steak (not the type you find at your local grocery store), but as I have aged I have come to realize that I was wrong!

First, the most delicious flavor is absolutely amazing: when you squeeze fresh lemons into your sauce. Extremely yummy! You could make tons of food that starts with L if you combine Lahain with other items or ingredients from all around Pakistan. Some examples are: fresh cumin powder, fresh turmeric, fresh tomatoes, raw paprika, yogurt, lime juice, coconut milk and condensed milk or cream.

For the soup: which we eat often, I love to start with a fresh fruit. There are so many to choose from that are made for both children and adults: watermelon, banana, apple, grapefruit, fresh strawberries and more. They are all great sources of vitamin c, which help to boost energy, and antioxidants, which are good for your body. Any fruit that is in season is a safe choice.

Another favorite: that starts with L is lemons, and any type of bread loaf that uses lard or tallow (beef drippings). Any bread that contains this ingredient is fantastic: whole wheat, bagels, rolls, breakfast cereals. I also love to snack on toast topped with fresh fruit, preferably grapes. One of my favorite things is to snack on salted or smoked almonds. If you do not like nuts then try sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, or walnuts.

Next on my list is lutefisk: This dish is perfect for a hot summer’s day. In my opinion, the best lutefisk is made from beef tallow, and I use it often. Any cut of meat or fat that has been seasoned well is good, but steer clear of pork loin or lard.

A final dish: that starts with L is lamb’s livers cooked in butter with onion, garlic, and chives. If you have not tried this dish yet, I encourage you to. It is very similar to the step above, but is lighter, and with a much different flavor.

Cook the livers and onions together in butter until they are translucent, and then add chives, chopped garlic, and a little salt to taste. Give it a few minutes to soak before serving, and enjoy!
