What Fast Food Chain Introduced the Baconator in 2007?

A close relative of the baconator is the waffle sandwich. It appears to have been introduced by either chains such as McDonald’s, which offers the breakfast waffle sandwich, or a waffle vendor such as Waring. The fast food giant, which introduced the baconator, also introduced an all day breakfast waffle sandwich with cinnamon toast, maple syrup, and a cherry on top. It is unclear whether the Cinnamon Toast version includes the second ingredient mentioned above or not. However, both versions are popular.

Another quick food chain – which introduced the baconator in 2007 is Sonic Chef, Inc. It markets the “Sonic” sandwich and its “Baconator” version which contain two beef patties, fried chicken and a bacon flavored ham. In addition to using the word “bacon”, it also includes mayonnaise and Mayo sauce.

Wendy’s changed even more, adding items from all around the world – For example, instead of having just potato chips, they added Cheddar cheese, Swiss, and Cheddar. Instead of being only available at breakfast, Wendy’s introduced the baconator game, a version which includes a bacon cheeseburger and a side of tomatoes and green bell pepper. It was designed to let kids interact with the food, and, oddly enough, did not have a dollar bill option.

The most delicious treat in the universe is undeniably pizza – This chain introduced the baconator with the promise that this would be the year’s most popular pizza. Naturally, this didn’t go over well. For starters, everyone except for one kid (a devoted fan) thought it was a bit too much cheese and not nearly as tasty as the regular toppings, which included fresh and cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, olives, etc. On the other hand, a customer out in San Francisco ordered three “pizza sizes” and returned home to find that these were indeed the most delicious pizza, and that the bacon cheeseburger was actually quite good, if we’re being honest.

To rectify the situation – wendy’s introduced the baconator as part of a back to basics reorganization by Wendy’s new ceo kerrii Anderson. Under the leadership of Kerrii she also eliminated several other high calorie items from her menu (which included fried chicken and beef stew). Among the casualties of her revamp were the Burnt tome potato chips (no longer available in all of the restaurants under the name), BBQ sauce, and microwaveable nachos. Although baconator still remains on the menu, ferric states that the focus has been on healthier items and more natural ingredients. She also cited the success of bbq chicken nachos as an example of how changing a bad product with a better one can actually help sales!

Maybe you want a burger or you’re craving some fried chicken – but you don’t want the saturated fats and cholesterol. If this describes you then you might be interested in reviewing the facts regarding the aforementioned burger replacement. As it turns out, kerrii introduced the baconator in 2007 to combat saturated fat and cholesterol problems arising from fast food restaurants and takeout. They were not the only ones to do so; many other fast food chains also served bacon as an alternative to their beef patties.

Even though the introduction of the baconator may seem unfortunate to some it is an excellent example of marketing innovation and business savvy at work.
